2007 Social Services Needs Assessment

LexLinc helped organize and plan the assessment project for the LFUCG Department of Social Services.   The department hosted a community-wide summit in August 2007 to kickoff the process.  Over 300 individuals attended the summit and broke into  six teams:
 

• Children (0-6)
• Youth
• Adults
• Housing
• Special Needs
• Cross Cutting Issues

These groups met during the rest of 2007 and early 2008 to substantiate needs, identify service delivery models, governmental roles and recommend solutions.
 

The final report, released in April 2008, provides a basis for strategic planning for the Department for Social Services of the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government.
