2007 Social Services Needs Assessment

LexLinc is helping organize and plan the assessment project for the LFUCG Department of Social Services.   The department hosted a community-wide summit on August 28 to kickoff the process.  Over 300 individuals attended the summit and broke into  six teams:

• Children (0-6)
• Youth
• Adults
• Housing
• Special Needs
• Cross Cutting Issues

These groups met during September and October to substantiate needs, identify service delivery models, governmental roles and recommend solutions.

The final report, to be released in March, will provide a basis for strategic planning for the Department for Social Services of the Lexington Fayette Urban County Government.
